We are delighted to have the helping hand offered by parents as school aides in all sorts of ways. Parents can help with; listening to readers, helping with art, needlework or cooking, going on educational visits, swimming, etc. If you feel you could help in any way, please let your child's class teacher know or contact the school office. We welcome parents and governors to become involved in school activities. (Parents volunteering for school activities are required to have a DBS check prior to helping).
If you would like to apply for a DBS, please email the school office and we will arrange for an email invitation to be sent from the DBS portal direct to you.
Once you have completed your DBS, please bring the required ID documents into the school office to verify your application.
Once you have received your completed DBS certificate, can you please bring it to the office for us to see.
We would also ask that you apply to join the DBS Update Service using this link - https://www.gov.uk/dbs-update-service. You can register either on receipt of your electronic ‘E’ application reference number or within 30 days from the date of issue of your certificate. The advantage of the Update Service is your DBS becomes portable across organisations. Please do however keep your paper certificate safe as only the paper certificate will state that your check is Enhanced + Child Barred List.
