Our Vision Statement and Welcome from Mrs Chambers

Our Vision Statement

‘Learning for Life’

Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.' (Proverbs 22:6)

Our vision is ‘Learning for life’ with Jesus' promise of 'life in all its fullness' at its heart. We believe that each child and member of the community is special, created and loved by God. We believe that a happy child is a successful one and that childhood is precious.

We are privileged to be a part of each and every child’s life while they are with us at St Mary’s; we love watching them grow and flourish. It is our promise that each and every child will feel loved, inspired, safe and nurtured so that they reach their full potential both personally and academically, in a diverse, fun and aspirational environment.

Each child is unique and our Christian values of kindness, courage and trust are at the heart of the education within our school.

We aim to provide an exciting learning community. We want every child to have a successful and happy time in our school and to do so we provide children with experiences that develop resilience, confidence and tolerance.

Our mission statement is 'Learning for Life', which is underpinned by our Christian values so that we encourage all children to be:

  • Successful learners who enjoy learning, make progress and achieve, thrive through positive challenges and who can learn independently and collaboratively.
  • Confident individuals able to live safe, secure, happy, caring and fulfilling lives.
  • Responsible citizens who have an understanding and tolerance of others through spiritual, moral, social and cultural development and who make a positive contribution to society.

We strongly believe that our curriculum provides challenge, excitement and enjoyment and meets the needs of all our learners, preparing them well for a successful future.

Our emphasis is to develop each child with attitudes and skills for lifelong learning and fulfilling their potential in life. Each St Mary's Learner is encouraged to be always ready to learn, enthusiastic, a considered risk taker, happy to try again, not afraid to learn from mistakes, able to learn collaboratively and independently and to be reflective.

We are proud of our school and welcome you to share our enthusiasm and commitment to learning. We hope that you enjoy your visit to our website. If you wish to visit the school, or you have any queries, please do contact the school.
