‘Learning for Life’

Our Vision Statement and Welcome from Mrs Chambers

Our Vision Statement

‘Learning for Life’

'Learning for life’ with Jesus' promise of 'life in all its fullness' is at the heart of St Mary’s. At our school children are seen as unique and will feel loved, safe and empowered to flourish so they reach their full potential both academically and personally.

Kindness        Trust      Courage

Our mission statement is 'Learning for Life', which is underpinned by our Christian values so that we encourage all children to be:

  • Successful learners who enjoy learning, make progress and achieve, thrive through positive challenges and who can learn independently and collaboratively.
  • Confident individuals able to live safe, secure, happy, caring and fulfilling lives.
  • Responsible citizens who have an understanding and tolerance of others through spiritual, moral, social and cultural development and who make a positive contribution to society.

We strongly believe that our curriculum provides challenge, excitement and enjoyment and meets the needs of all our learners, preparing them well for a successful future.

Our emphasis is to develop each child with attitudes and skills for lifelong learning and fulfilling their potential in life. Each St Mary's Learner is encouraged to be always ready to learn, enthusiastic, a considered risk taker, happy to try again, not afraid to learn from mistakes, able to learn collaboratively and independently and to be reflective.

We are proud of our school and welcome you to share our enthusiasm and commitment to learning. We hope that you enjoy your visit to our website. If you wish to visit the school, or you have any queries, please do contact the us.
