St Mary’s C of E Primary School

We are a 'good' school - Ofsted Jan 2015 and 'outstanding' - SIAMS Feb 2016

Welcome back!

Our St Mary’s learner attitude this month is ‘Learning well on our own’. We have been thinking about how we can work independently at our tables to meet her success criteria, what we can do if we are stuck and how we can use our toolkit to support us. I am so pleased that many children have been challenging themselves to be St Mary’s Learners in the classroom!

As it is now the Summer Term we are starting our new Topic - ‘All Creatures Great and Small’. We have already been so busy and have started looking at stories including nocturnal animals, thinking about the life cycle of different animals and humans and thought about where different animals from all over the world come from.

If you could be any animal, what would you be? Why?

Discuss this with your family. If you like, you can record your answers in your homework book!
