Message from the Friends

We are fortunate in having a very strong group of ‘Friends’ who help the school in very many ways. Projects have included building and sitting bench seats for the children around the playing field, buying a school minibus, organising discos for the children, buying an electric keyboard, computers, a television and word processors and books for class libraries, and financing the creation of the wildlife garden.

The Friends of St Mary's recently bought some lovely new benches for the school.  These have been placed in various locations around the school grounds.  The children wrote a letter of thanks to the Friends.

    The ‘Friends’ organise the annual Firework Display, Summer Fair and Christmas Bazaar and
    there are opportunities to become physically involved, by joining weekend work parties to improve
    the grounds. Parents are automatically members of the ‘Friends’ and there is no annual subscription.
    However, volunteers are always welcome to help in many ways.
